Welcome to the Shams Safaga Diving Center
Jeanett, who, as „ a woman of the first hour“, is present in Safaga for more than 12 years and her team welcome you in the Shams Safaga Diving Center.
Shams Diving Center means individual diving in a friendly and familiar atmosphere with the bases own motto:
Who? If not we; When? If not now; Where? If not here!
The completely renovated Diving Center is open through the whole year, seven days a week from 8.00 a.m. till 6.00 p.m. so that you will always find someone to appeal to. We are looking forward to your visit. |

Safaga is located about 60 km. south of Hurghada and transfer from the airport to the Shams Safaga Hotel is around 45 minutes.
Our Diving Center is located direct on the Beach of the Shams Hotel. Transfer from other Hotels around can be arranged for free.
With our boats, famous reefs like ”Seven pillars”, “Panorama” or “Abu Kafan” are easy to reach within 20 - 90 minutes. |

The Diving Center consists of a reception, a classroom, an equipment-room, a workshop, and a compressor- and tank-room.
There is a spacious dry-room with two freshwaterpools available, where you can keep your equipment safely stored.
Of course there is also a large and cosy terrace and bar to be used after diving, where you can let your dive day fade out. |

Diving at the House-reef |

Our house-reef, is located approximately 50m away from the beach. It’s takes only the few steps from the dry-room to the water and you can start your dive.
The house-reef is ideal for normal and night-dives as well as for introduction dives and courses.

In order to make your dive day successful, we own fine and safe boats with a friendly and skilled crew, prepared to help you at anytime.
The diving center’s four boats are functional and comfortable with large diving platforms and easy entry and exit.
Between and after the dives, the sundecks and cabin will offer you enough space to relax.
You like a delicious lunch aboard our boats? Our formidable chefs will prepare you a real good and tasty one.
Our common trips are full day trips, night- or early-morning-dives and a lot more. For long sleepers, families, surfer and kite-surfer we offer, on order half day trips in addition. |

All of the diving centers boats are equipped with VHF-radio, oxygen and an MFA-box.
Cooperating with DECO International (recompression-chambers in Safaga and El Gouna), we offer an insurance, valid for 3 weeks, for a fee of 6 euro.

General information |

Check-in requirements:
- Dive brevet
- Logbook with continuously counted dives
- Medical statement, not older than 2 years ( age 40+, not older than 1 year)
At boat dives inexperienced divers will be accompanied by a divemaster or instructor for free until the 25th dive.
|
|
Each diver has to undergo a check during the first dive. Our maximum depth is 30 meters and decompression dives are prohibited.
You can pay cash, with Master/Visa card or traveler-check. |
